Meet Alexa!
In session with me...
As a trauma therapist, it’s important to me that you feel understood and invited to gain deeper awareness of yourself and your needs.
I believe our greatest challenges can be a catalyst for our strengths, helping us build real resilience.
Many of my clients share that they're tired of being "strong."
Tired of holding it all together. Tired of being the one everyone else leans on. Tired of a strength that's starting to feel more like exhaustion.
I support clients in:
Building a life that doesn't require being strong all the time
Learning how to seek support as needed
Creating limits for themselves so life feels less overwhelming
My clients describe me as down to earth, understanding, warm & challenging.
I show up as human to support you in feeling comfortable in your vulnerability and able to say the things that feel overwhelming or fear-provoking.
I approach treatment as a team, because you are the expert of your own life. I want to support you in building the tolerance to stand tall in your self-expression, both in and outside of therapy.
I will challenge you to be intentional about change, at your own pace.
I ensure you feel validated in your feelings while also building awareness of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck by helping you untangle past experiences that show up in your daily life and get in the way of living authentically.
What to expect from our time together
Why I became a Trauma Therapist
I learned early on how powerful it is to have someone who actually gets you and is willing to listen, not just to your words, but to what's underneath them.
That stuck with me. It shaped how I see people. And eventually, it became the reason I do this work.
I've always been fascinated by how humans work.
How we adapt. How we hold onto things long after they've served their purpose. How much of what we carry isn't even something we're consciously aware of.
That disconnect isn't a flaw. It's usually an old survival strategy that's overstayed its welcome.
That's where depth work comes in.
I'm not interested in surface-level coping tools that just help you push through.
Because underneath all of that is usually someone who already knows who they are. Life just got loud, and that person got buried under pressure, trauma, and everyone else's expectations.
My favorite part of this work?
Helping people find their way back to their true selves.
Not by adding more to your plate. By clearing out what's been in the way.
That's really why I do this. I get to watch people reconnect with themselves and start showing up as who they've always been, fully.
It never gets old!

Outside of Session
I'm a Mexican-American daughter, sister, and friend to a community of people I love fiercely. Family and connection are at the heart of who I am, not just something I believe in professionally, but something I live. I come from a culture that values togetherness and showing up for the people you love, and that's shaped how I move through the world just as much as it's shaped how I show up for my clients.
I cherish my relationships deeply. Whether it's a phone call with my sister, a long dinner with friends, or a family gathering that runs way past when it was supposed to end, I love being surrounded by the people who know me best. Laughter is non-negotiable for me, the kind that makes your stomach hurt, the kind you're still talking about weeks later. If I'm not laughing with the people I love, something's missing.
When I'm not working, you can find me exploring a coffee shop, blasting my favorite playlist in the car with the windows down, when its not too hot ;), or trying a restaurant with my girls that I've had saved for way too long. I love traveling, new cities, new food, new views. I love the simple stuff just as much: a good workout to clear my head, a slow morning, quality time with the people who matter most.
All of that, the community, the culture, the joy, is part of what I bring into the therapy room, too. I don't leave my humanity at the door when I sit with clients. I believe connection heals, and I try to embody that both in and outside of session.
