How EMDR Intensive Therapy Works
We begin EMDR intensives by meeting for a pre-intensive interview to create a personalized timeline of your experiences, both big and small, to see how they have shaped the patterns in your relationships, work, and emotional life and create goals for our time during the intensive. Because deep patterns often affect both your mind and body, we integrate awareness of physical sensations and stress responses from the very start.
In an intensive, you have uninterrupted time to fully notice, process, and regulate these mind-body responses. We focus on grounding strategies and tools that help you stay present so you can safely work through experiences that might feel overwhelming in a standard 50-minute session.
Once you are steady, we move into reprocessing past experiences, including both major traumas and attachment wounds, while continuing to support your mind-body connection. This focused, concentrated approach allows you to release old patterns faster, calm your nervous system, and leave with clarity, self-trust, and resilience that carries into your daily life.

EMDR intensive therapy is a focused, multi-hour session or series of sessions designed to help you process past experiences and patterns that have been holding you back. Unlike traditional weekly 50-minute sessions, intensives give you uninterrupted time to go deeper, allowing you to address patterns that may have been stuck for years.
For high-achieving women, EMDR intensives are ideal when old attachment wounds, anxiety, self-doubt, or overthinking continue to show up in relationships, work, or daily life. In a safe and supportive environment, we work together to process these experiences, calm your nervous system, and release patterns that no longer serve you. The goal is to help you feel lighter, more confident, and more aligned with the person you want to be—faster than weekly therapy alone allows.

Yes. EMDR intensives provide several hours of focused, uninterrupted work, which allows you to address patterns and memories that may take months to process in standard 50-minute weekly sessions. For high-achieving women who often feel “stuck” despite therapy or personal growth efforts, intensives give you dedicated time to go deeper and make meaningful change in a shorter period. This concentrated approach can lead to breakthroughs that leave you feeling lighter, more aligned, and more in control of your emotional responses.

Intensives are best for clients who are motivated, self-aware, and ready to dedicate focused time to their healing. You don’t need to have done prior therapy, but you should be open to exploring emotions and patterns that may feel intense. We start every intensive by creating a timeline of your experiences and grounding strategies so you feel supported and regulated throughout. You will always have tools and check-ins to help you stay safe and present, so you never feel overwhelmed without support.

Intensives allow us to process both major traumas and smaller, but impactful, experiences such as attachment wounds, relationship challenges, or formative events that still shape your thoughts, behaviors, and emotional reactions. Many high-achieving women find that even with accomplishments and outward success, past experiences continue to trigger anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt. EMDR intensives give us the time to address these patterns comprehensively so they stop controlling your daily life.

While every client’s experience is unique, many people report significant shifts in anxiety, overthinking, relationship patterns, and self-trust after an intensive. You can expect to feel a greater sense of calm, clarity, and emotional freedom, along with tools to maintain these changes in daily life. EMDR works by reprocessing past experiences in a way that integrates them differently in your brain, so the results are lasting. Many clients report that patterns that used to replay constantly no longer have the same intensity, leaving space for more confidence, alignment, and ease in relationships and work.
