Meet Alexa!
My clients describe me as down to earth, understanding, warm, & challenging.
In session with me, you can expect to feel understood and invited to gain deeper awareness of yourself and your needs. I believe that our greatest challenges can be a catalyst for our strengths and support us in building resilience. Many of my clients share that they are tired of being “strong.” I support clients in building a life that doesn’t require being strong all of the time, learning how to seek support as needed, and creating limits for themselves to make life feel less overwhelming.
I seek to create a safe space in sessions where clients feel comfortable in their vulnerability and able to say things that might feel overwhelming or fear-provoking. I do this by showing up as human, too. I approach treatment with you as a team because I value that you are the expert of your own life. I want to support you in building the tolerance to stand tall in your self-expression, both in and outside of therapy.
I will challenge you to be intentional about change at your own pace. I ensure that my clients feel validated in their feelings while also building awareness of patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and helping them untangle past experiences that presently show up in their daily lives and impede their ability to live authentically.

Outside of Session
I am a Mexican-American daughter, sister, and friend to a loving and supporting community of people whose relationships I cherish. I love spending time with friends and family and getting as much laughter in as possible. In my free time I enjoy spending time with loved ones, listening to my favorite songs, and cuddling with my pup while binge watching some of my favorite shows.
I became a therapist because I recognize the value of supporting someone in feeling seen and heard and guiding them in building resilience and vulnerability through life's greatest challenges. I genuinely enjoy watching clients get to know themselves and connect with their own humanity.
